BRIEF PROFILE OF THE STORYTELLERS’ SOCIETY INC. (TSSI)
We are a SEC-registered non-stock, non-profit organization with Registration No. CN201902933 dated April 4, 2019.
Our members are behind a series of publications on responsible citizenship (e.g. Luid Ka” Stories and Images of the Kapampangan Crusade for Good Governance); church heritage (e.g. Kuraldal Atlung Ari and Libad Bangka nang Apung Iru: Beyond the Revelry, Apung Mamacalulu: The Sto. Entierro of Angeles City, Suli: Legacies of Santiago Apostol Church of Betis, Pisamban Maragul: The Living Church of Angeles City) and real-life stories on mercy, love and hope (e.g. The Gospel of Mercy According to Juan/a, The Gospel of Love According to Juan/a, The Gospel of Hope According to Juan/a).
Fr. Wilfredo M. Samson, SJ is the writer behind the Pitik-Bulag series of inspirational/meditation books (e.g. Pockets of Graces; Ukay-ukay, Halukay at Buhay; and Detox).
Our Vision and Mission
We, The Storytellers’ Society, Inc. (TSSI), envision ourselves as missionary disciples of Christ. We commit ourselves:
- (1) To do our part in bringing the Good News of Hope to society, serving as beacons of light in situations of hopelessness;
- (2) To challenge the prevailing culture of conformity, violence and self-referentiality by speaking boldly as modern prophets of justice and mercy
- (3) To evangelize through creative storytelling using various genres and platforms; to be keyplayers in the production of resource materials and honing of resource speakers for new evangelization.
“This is the time of fulfillment. The kingdom of God is at hand. Repent, and believe in the gospel” (Mk 1:15). Let this Gospel change our lives. Let this Gospel reorient our lives.
