Dear God,
Grant my simple request today.
Make my heart pure, kind and holy,
worthy of being your dwelling place.
I beg you – make my heart SIMPLE AND PURE,
for me to enjoy the surprises of the ordinaries,
and seek happiness in you, and not in things.
I beg you – make my heart FAITHFUL AND TRUE,
for me to hold on to your mysterious plans,
and seek your holy will and not my desires.
I beg you – make my heart GENTLE AND KIND,
for me to be more sensitive and generous,
and be at the service of faith and justice.
I beg you – make my heart OPEN AND FREE,
for me to allow your hands to form my spirit,
and be patient and open to all possibilities.
I beg you – make my heart FORGIVING AND MERCIFUL,
for me to release the anguish and pain in my heart,
and be more forgiving and understanding of enemies.
I beg you – make my heart LOVING AND TRUSTFUL,
for me to carry my daily burdens and challenges,
and be joyful and confident in carrying my cross.
I pray – make my heart LIKE YOURS.
And I beg your generous approval,
to let my heart be your dwelling place.
